My Lai village has developed historical significance for solemn reasons, primarily related to the mass murder of civilians that took place here by the US during the Vietnam War. On the 16th of March, 1968, soldiers of Charlie Company - 1st Battalion, the 20th Infantry Regiment and the 11th Brigade of the American Division entered into My Lai Village looking for Viet Cong soldiers. American soldiers suspected that enemies were hiding in the village and were being protected by villagers. This led to the mass murder of over 300 unarmed civilians. Choose from a private or shared tour to visit the historical site of My Lai and get a reverent insight into the realities of the Vietnam War. During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to visit the museum, meet the local villagers, and walk around the village before being taken back to Da Nang.
