This 3-day gorilla trek safari takes you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is home to more than half the population of the remaining 720 Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable forest offers a unique birding opportunity, cultural experiences, a scenic allure of stunning hills and lush vegetation inhabited by the elusive primates. The gorilla trek activity is the most enchanting experience in this forest. You will have an experience of a lifetime watching at these majestic apes as they feed, play and relax.
After breakfast, our tour guide will transfer you by road to Bwindi. Along the way the Ankole long-horned cattle and the various antelopes crossing the main road are fascinating. Make a stop-over in Mbarara town for your lunch and then proceed to Bwindi in southwestern Uganda arriving in the evening.
Wake up very early in the morning for your breakfast and then hike to the park headquarters, which are a few meters from your lodge for a briefing by the park ranger on how you need to conduct yourself before the gorillas. At 8.30am begin hiking along well-established trails in the forest. Gorilla tracking is a strenuous exercise but joy you experience after encountering the gorillas is overwhelming. The time to encounter these apes ranges from an hour to several hours depending on their movement in the jungle. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, end your stay in the "Land of the Mountain Gorillas" and depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. Transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route, then proceed to Entebbe Airport where you will catch your flight back home.
