After breakfast from your hotel in Nairobi we will pick you up and leave for Masai Mara through The Great African Rift Valley escarpment where you will have a stop at the Viewing Point to view the escarpment. Then you drive through Masai Town Narok. Arrive at Mara Camp in time for Lunch. After lunch you will have late afternoon game drive until sun set. Dinner and overnight at Miti Mingi Tented Camp.
Early morning breakfast then depart at 7:30am for a full day with packed lunch then proceed for the game drive in search of its popular animals like the well-known Big Five e.g. Elephant, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Lion and predators e.g. lion, cheater, hyena, wild dogs etc. and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and the dangerous Crocodiles with a visit to Mara river where you will have your lunch at migration point where the wildebeest migrating from Serengeti to Masai Mara and you will see migration taking place. After lunch you will continue with the game drive until Sunset then you will drive back to the camp. Dinner and overnight at Mara Miti Mingi Tented Camp.
After breakfast you will have time to visit Masai Village and then depart for Lake Nakuru with lunch at Narok. After lunch you drive to Lake Nakuru arriving late in the afternoon for a game drive en-route to find leopard which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park. After lunch you leave for day game drive, take a further drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park. Lake Nakuru is known with many species of birds and thousands of flamingoes. After the breakfast, you will check out the hotel then spend the day game viewing at Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a size able number of the endangered rhinoceros and the Rothschild giraffe. Water bucks as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of bird life in and around the lake. Flamingos are also plenty at the lake. After breakfast you will a short drive around the city (city tour) thereafter transfer to the airport for a flight from Addis to Arba Minch arriving at around 12:50pm. Upon arrival, our driver will pick you and transfer you to the Arba Minch Paradise Lodge for check-in. You will start the Dorze village visit right after the check-in. driving to Dorze, set in the highlands above Arba Minch. The Dorze people are known for their tall beehive-like houses and their fine cotton weaving. You will visit the village and learn about the daily lives of these industrious people. If today is market day (in Dorze village on Monday and Thursday and in nearby Chencha on Tuesday and Saturday), that will be visited. Dinner and Overnight at Arba Minch Paradise Lodge
Morning after breakfast depart from Arba Minch to Turmi. On the way you will pass through the village of Weyto, which is home to the Tsemai tribe. Continue through the Weyto Valley to Erbore, where you will have a brief visit to a local Erbore village. Finally, proceed to Turmi, home of the Hamer tribe. In the morning, take a day trip to Omorate to visit the Dassenech tribe. Here you will cross the Omo River by local boat and enter a Dassenech village. Afterwards, return to Turmi for a visit to a local Hamer village. If there is jumping of the Bulls traditional Hamer coming-of-age ceremony that will be visited. Depart for Jinka, via Dimeka and Key Afar. Tuesdays and Saturdays are market days in Dimeka, which is one of the most colorful markets in the area and is visited by many tribes, including Hamer, Benna and Karo. Afterwards, continue to Jinka Dinner and Overnight at Economy Omo Resort.
In the morning, drive through the Mago National Park to a local village of the Mursi tribe. The Mursi are known for their lower lip and earlobe plates. In the afternoon, after returning to Jinka, you can visit the South Omo Museum & Research Center to learn more about the local tribes. Alternatively, take a hike in the surrounding hills to visit a local Ari village. Dinner and Overnight at Economy Omo Resort.
After breakfast, depart from Jinka to Arba Minch via Key Afar and Konso, where you will see the Benna and Tsemai tribes trading goods. This is another very popular market in the region. After the visit, proceed to Konso. The Konso people are known for their wooden statues, known as wakas, which are erected in honor of dead heroes as well as their innovative agricultural terracing. Today you will have a brief opportunity to visit a local village and the cultural museum displaying many waka statues. After the visit, proceed driving to Arba Minch. Morning take a boat trip to Lake Chamo to visit the crocodiles and hippos, Lake Chamo is a lake in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region of southern Ethiopia. Located in the Main Ethiopian Rift, it is at an elevation of 1,110 meters. The Chamo Lake is just to the south of Lake Abaya and the city of Arba Minch, east of the Guge Mountains, and west of the Amaro Mountains. Afternoon fly from Arba Minch to Mekelle around 18:35pm. Start the 3 days danakil tour Mekelle Volcano We drive from Mekelle to Dodom. We start early drive to Dodom (at the base of Erta Ale). Leave after an early breakfast, possible at 07:30. This is may be one of the worst roads in the world. The 70 km distance may take about 5 hrs passing through changing landscape of solidified lava, rock, sand and occasional palm lined oasi. Early dinner around 17:00 and trek up to ErtaAle at 20:00 hours. Camels transport all the camping materials and some food (sleeping materials like light mattresses and mat and water) to the rim of the volcano, where we spend the night watching the dramatic action of the boiling lava. It is a shield volcano with a base diameter of 30 km and 1km square caldera at its summit. ErtaAle contains the world’s only permanent lava lake.
