We start the tour with pick-up from your hotel in Cartagena. After an approximate journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes, we arrive at San Basilio de Palenque, where we will welcome you with a local refreshing drink. You will meet our expert palenquera braiders, who carry the ancestral knowledge that has passed from generation to generation. They will perform a traditional palenquero hairstyle from our catalog. During the process, you will learn about the cultural and symbolic meaning of each braid: escape routes, coded messages, and the connection to Afro-descendant identity. To close the day, we will enjoy a live musical presentation, where you will know the traditional rhythms such as bullerengue, palenquero son and other sounds that vibrate the memory and the body. Return to Cartagena After this transformative experience, we returned to Cartagena with a new hairstyle, many photos and a heart full of history and cultural pride.
