Your private 2-day trip starts with a hotel pick-up in Marsa Alam and a drive to Luxor. Upon arrival, your personal guide will accompany you to the East Bank of Luxor, where you will first visit the Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex ever built. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at an oriental restaurant on an island in the Nile river, followed by a boat trip on the river.
After visiting Karnak Temple and having lunch at an oriental restaurant on an island in the Nile River, you will check into your hotel in Luxor to relax and refresh. In the evening, your private guide will pick you up for a visit to the illuminated Temple of Luxor, which was the center of the important Opet festival that aimed to reconcile the human and divine aspects of the ruler. After the visit, you will return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Your West Bank tour of Luxor starts with a pick-up from your hotel and a visit to the Valley of the Kings. This incredible site is home to tombs of pharaohs including Ramses II and Tutankhamen. Your tour will take you inside three of these tombs, excluding Tutankhamen's tomb as it requires an extra ticket.
After visiting the Valley of the Kings, the tour will continue to Hatshepsut Temple, where you can marvel at the impressive architecture and learn about the history of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few female pharaohs in ancient Egypt. The temple is situated at the foot of the mountain, blending in perfectly with the surrounding natural landscape, making it a truly breathtaking sight to behold.
Proceed to the Colossi of Memnon, the remains of a mortuary temple that is now completely destroyed except for the two imposing statues.
