    Nydalen is a district in the Nordre Aker area in northern Oslo. Since the late 19th century Nydalen has been a largely industrial area. Beginning in the 1990s, it gradually transformed into a mix of "lighter" service industries and residential areas.

    The Kon-Tiki Museum houses vessels and maps from the Kon-Tiki expedition, as well as a library. The museum was originally built to house the Kon-Tiki, a raft of balsa wood of pre-Columbian model that Norwegian adventurer Thor Heyerdahl used to sail from Peru to Polynesia in 1947. Another boat in the museum is the Ra II, a vessel built of reeds according to Heyerdahl's perception of an ancient Egyptian seagoing boat.

    Akerselva River

    Akerselva is a river which flows through Oslo. Akerselva is "Oslo’s green lung”; many parks and nature trails are to be found by its path, from Grønland to Maridalsvannet. A walk from along Akerselven from the rural Frysja down through the different parts of Oslo all the way down to the city centre is an amazing experience and a walk through the history of Oslo. Salmon run and spawn in the upper part of the river.

    Bygdoy Peninsula

    Bygdoy is a peninsula on the western side of Oslo. This area of the city to have the most of historical museums and for being one of the greenest areas and most beautiful near Oslo. *You will go to the Budgoy Peninsula by city bus N 30. At the end of the tour, you will return by ferry to Oslo city center.
