  St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church

  Built in 1913 on a hill believed to be where St. John the Baptist was beheaded, the church was recognized in 1967 by the Vatican as a Shrine of the Beheading of St. John, making it a key pilgrimage site. Although modern, it incorporates ancient elements discovered during construction, such as a mosaic above the entrance depicting St. John's severed head.
