A cruise down south of Kos Island to the volcanic island of Nissyros. A tour by bus will take you right into the heart of the volcano! It is a unique change and experience to see and feel the huge energy of the earth, running under your feet from the deep of the heart of the earth.
A visit to the villages for a spectacular and breathtaking view of the Deep Blue Aegean Waters. Free time will be given for exploring the capital of the island and the Monastery of Panagia Spiliani.

Our daily tour to the island of Nisyros is best known for its volcano, we are offering to all the visitors the opportunity to walk in a potentially active volcanic crater.

The monastery of Panagia Spiliani is built at the top of a hill northwest of Mandraki. Around the monastery retained sections of the Paleokastro wall still exist, whereas the castle is protected by the «Castle of the Knights of Rhodes» built by the Knights of St. John in the early of 14th century. The biggest part of the monastery is built in a cave. The cave is divided into two churches. The north is dedicated to the Kimisi tis Theotokou (Assumption of Mary) and the south, Agios Charalambos (Saint Charalampos).

Nikia, this beautiful Nisyrian little mountain village is off the beaten track but seems quite lively and well kept. You will certainly need a car or a scooter to reach it but the detour is well worth it. The style is strictly traditional and being somewhat more secluded it is not as “touristy” as the seaside villages of the island. There are a couple of tavernas in the village of Nikia and you can eat and drink while enjoying the view of the sea. You can also admire the Caldera from different truly stunning viewpoints.

- Extra info for itinerary : 1 hour approx. bus transfer to Kardamena Port, half an hour approx. waiting for the boat, 1 hour boat travel to Nisyros, after the Tour there is a free time for shopping and lunch, 1 hour boat travel back to Kardamena Port, 1 hour approx. drop off to hotel.
