Our journey begins at the magnificent Kalemegdan Fortress, where the rivers Sava and Danube meet. From this strategic viewpoint, you’ll understand why Belgrade has been fought over more than 100 times throughout history. As we walk through the fortress grounds, we explore layers of Roman, Ottoman, and Austro-Hungarian heritage that still echo through its stone walls.
From there, we continue toward Knez Mihailova Street, the city’s lively pedestrian zone lined with 19th-century architecture, elegant facades, and hidden courtyards. Along the way, you’ll hear fascinating stories about Serbian rulers, intellectuals, and revolutionaries who left their mark on the nation.
We visit the historic Belgrade Cathedral, an important spiritual and cultural landmark, before strolling through the charming district of Kosancicev Venac, known for its cobblestone streets and artistic atmosphere.
