Bogotá is Colombia’s capital city; it is a cosmopolitan center of sophistication and has become an epicenter for business, politics, and entertainment. One of our team members will greet you upon arriving at El Dorado International Airport. Our guide will escort you to your hotel and assist you with check-in. They’ll also provide a detailed itinerary of all the services included in your trip, along with other helpful information.
Today’s tour starts with a panoramic drive to Zipaquirá, Colombia’s salt mining capital on the outskirts of Bogotá. Here, you’ll visit the famous underground salt cathedral carved inside a 250 million-year-old salt mine.
Afterward, we’ll show you around the beautiful city of Bogota, its charming Candelaria colonial-style neighborhood, and other points of interest, like the impressive Bolivar Plaza.
Today, you’ll fly from the nation’s capital to another capital, the Coffee Triangle, where Colombia’s most famous export is primarily cultivated. Our team will meet you at the local airport in Pereira and take you over to your hotel.
Once you’re settled in, we’ll head out to nearby Armenia and Calarcá for a tour and tasting experience at a delightful coffee hacienda! Also, you overnight around La Tebaida, in the middle of the imposing Quindian landscape and surrounded by nature, color, and mountains.
On this day, we’ll head out to beautiful Cocora Valley, home to one of the tallest palm trees in the world! We’ll go on a guided walk of the area while learning about its rich and natural ecosystem.
Following that, we’ll head to the town of Salento, which was one of the first settlements in the region and still boasts some colorful colonial architecture.
Today, it’s off to Medellin! Our team will meet you at the airport and assist you with your accommodations and check-in. Afterward, enjoy a Fonda tour, one of the most traditional nightlife experiences in the valley of Medellín. You can find bars, exotic decorations, and typical Colombian music here. Located in the suburbs of the city, Fonda reflects the cultural heritage of the so-called Paisa Culture.
Today, start an extraordinary journey to the most important tourist sights of the “city of eternal spring.” First, explore downtown Medellin and the historical center. Then, take the Metro Cable up to Santo Domingo; you can enjoy the spectacular view.
You’ll say goodbye to Medellin’s landscapes and hello to the Colombian Caribbean Coast, and in particular, Cartagena! A team member will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.
Once you’re settled in, it’s off to San Felipe de Barajas Castle, one of the strongest forts ever built for a Spanish colony. Next, we’ll head to Las Bovedas – a former armory-turned-marketplace lined with artisanal crafts, jewelry, and antiques. Afterward, we’ll take a lovely walk through Cartagena’s old town.
Our tour begins with a visit to “La Boquilla,” an ancient fishing village situated twenty minutes north of Cartagena. Once a slave colony, this community is now home to many Afro-Colombian residents. Nestled on a slender peninsula, La Boquilla is located among crystal clear waters of the Colombian Caribbean Sea and the “Ciénaga de la Virgen“—a vast lake surrounded by mangrove swamps. We’ll embark on a traditional canoe for a serene journey through the mangroves, providing you with an opportunity to witness the unique fauna and flora inhabiting this singular ecosystem. In the latter part of the day, we’ll transition to a vibrant dance and drum workshop. Here, you’ll be treated to live music and get acquainted with the exhilarating rhythms and sounds of Champeta, a musical style predominantly native to this region.
Today, we’ll pick you up at your hotel and bring you over to the airport so that you can catch your flight to your next destination. We hope you’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the wonders that our Colombia vacation package have to offer!
