Marble Mountains: The Marble Mountains are a group of five hills made up of marble and limestone located south of Da Nang City in Vietnam. They are named after the five elements – Water, Fire, Metal, Earth, and Wood. Today, we will be visiting WATER MOUNTAIN, which is considered the most beautiful mountain among all five. We will explore the best caves and attractions of Marble Mountains. It is important to note that during the Vietnam War, the VC took refuge and used the caves as field hospitals. You can learn some history here as well since there exists an old heliport built by the American Air Force. Buddhist sanctuaries are situated in these mountains and are a must-visit tourist site for anyone visiting Da Nang City. Finally, we will visit a 500-year-old sculptural village where you will get a chance to admire statues made from marble.
Non Nuoc Sculpture Village: Found at the foot of the Marble Mountains of Da Nang, the village is well-known for the beautiful marble sculptures carved here. Founded about 500 years ago, the village is known for its talented craftsmen that carve sculptures, statues, and other decorative objects using the superior marble of the area. Tra Que Vegetable Village Lunch: Experience the pleasure of a tasty lunch in an elegant restaurant within the Tra Que Vegetable Village, an old village that has been around for 300 years and is famous for cultivating different kinds of green herbs. In addition, you will be treated to spectacular views of the beautiful vegetable gardens. In our beautiful restaurant, we will treat you with the tastiest Vietnamese foods.
After having lunch, we shall proceed to visit Hoi An Ancient Town, a World Heritage site declared by UNESCO in 1999. Hoi An, which boasts narrow streets and vibrant lanes with lanterns and flowers hanging in them, is famous for its unique architecture with Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, and colonial French influences. Our program includes a visit to the iconic covered bridge - Japanese Bridge. You will also have an opportunity to visit the Hoi An Museum of Folklore where you can see old farming and fishing equipment. The visit to the assembly hall that was constructed hundreds of years ago by Chinese merchants will bring even more historical facts about Hoi An. Please be informed that due to the time when your ship departs, your visits might be shortened a bit. However, our guides will try their best to make your visit memorable!
