We will coordinate the collection with each of the travelers
The first day, we will wait for you at the Cairo airport to give you the visa, help you pass the immigration controls and take you to the hotel. In the evening we will have dinner at a local restaurant.
After breakfast we will visit the Giza pyramids and the sphinx, and we will go inside one of the pyramids. At the end of the visit we will eat a traditional menu and head to Memphis, the first capital of Egypt, to admire Saqqara, its necropolis, and the famous statue of Ramses II.
After resting at the hotel, at night we will go to Old Cairo, to the most medieval area, where we will walk along its oldest street, we will visit the Khan el Kalili market, we will enter the famous Café de los Espejos and We will have a typical dinner.
This day we will visit the most emblematic places in the center of Cairo. We will tour the Saladin Citadel, we will enter the Alabaster Mosque, we will haggle in the Khan el Kalili market, we will stroll through the Coptic Quarter, we will eat, and we will be amazed with the masterpieces of the Egyptian Museum (not including access to the hall of mummies). In the evening we will go out to dinner at a local restaurant.
After breakfast we will go to the airport to take the flight to Luxor, the ancient Thebes, the city from where the cruise departs.
At night we will visit the illuminated Temple of Luxor –probably the image that will last the longest in your memory– and we will visit the city center aboard a horse-drawn buggy. We will be staying on the cruise.
First thing in the morning we will go to visit the Temple of Karnak, separated from the Temple of Luxor by the Avenue of the Sphinxes.
We will continue the tour crossing the western bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of the most famous pharaohs are located (visiting the Tomb of Tutankhamun carries an extra cost of approximately 16 euros). We will also visit the temple of Hatshepsut and the great Colossi of Memnon. Upon returning to the ship we will eat and start sailing towards Edfu. At dusk you will enjoy the passage of the Esna lock.
We will start the day visiting the Temple of Edfu. This temple, dedicated to the god Horus, is the best preserved temple in Egypt. Spectacular! After your visit we will return to the cruise to continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Once here we will visit its temple, dedicated to the gods Sobek and Hareoris, and with a location that makes it one of the most beautiful in the country. At the end we will continue sailing to Aswan.
The day begins with a bus tour to the Abu Simbel Temples, the most famous in Egypt, saved from the waters thanks to international collaboration. On the way back to Aswan, we will see the impressive Aswan Dam, one of the largest engineering projects of the 20th century. We will also visit the Temple of Filae, located on a beautiful island and known as the Jewel of the Nile, and we will return to the cruise to eat. In the afternoon, we will take a felucca ride (the traditional Egyptian boat) and we will be back on the boat at 4:00 p.m. You will have free time the rest of the afternoon and that night we will also sleep on the ship.
After breakfast, we will take you to the Aswan airport where we will take the flight back to Cairo. Once in Cairo airport you can easily take your international flight. We will adapt the departure time from Aswan according to the international flight you have. If you leave Cairo early, we will fly from Aswan earlier and offer you a continental or take away breakfast. If your return flight is in the afternoon, you won't have to get up that early and we will offer you breakfast on the boat before taking you to Aswan to take the flight to Cairo.
