This safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru covers top Kenya wildlife parks. Masai Mara, famous for its population of lions, leopards, cheetahs and also the migration of zebras and wildebeest which occurs yearly from Serengeti to Mara. Lake Nakuru National Park, found at the foot of the great Rift Valley and is known for the presence of the Big Five except for elephants and is also a bird sanctuary (flamingos). This is the only park you are assured of seeing the rhinos in black and white.

What to expect

4 Days Masai Mara/Lake Nakuru
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi-Mara
Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi early morning and head southward, a quick stopover at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara to enjoy the view and take some photos then continue with the trip arriving at the camp in time for lunch. Then proceed to the park for afternoon game drives followed by Dinner and overnight stay at tented camp/Lodge Meal Plan (L,D).

Day 2: Masai Mara
A full day is spent exploring the park in search of the big five. This is the best place to get close to the wild! The National Reserve is teeming with the ‘big 5’ and other amazing animal species. Nature, wonderful wildlife, and picturesque landscape can all be found here. Its natural beauty keeps guests returning every year. If you are an adventurous, thrill-seeking individual and you desire a front-row seat to the famous crossing of the Mara and Talek Rivers during the wildebeest migration season, the most well-known part of the Great Migration is at the Central Masai Mara which is also a year-round game-viewing with impressive populations of herbivores and predators which remain even after the spectacular hordes of wildebeests and zebras have gone. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve, Picnic lunch is served in the park. In the evening return to the camp /lodge for dinner.Meal Plan (B, L, D)

Day 3 Masai Mara-Lake Nakuru
After breakfast check out of the camp (with an optional masai village visit), you will depart Masai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with lunch en route. Lake Nakuru is known all over the world for its pink flamingos. At times, there may be almost 2 million flamingos gathering along the lakeshore. Besides the flamingos, there are roughly 400 other species of birds visiting the lake as well as many species of wildlife.

There will be scenic views of Mt. Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the budget hotel with self contained rooms. You will arrive in time for lunch for check-in and relaxation from the long safari.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru-Nairobi
After breakfast, we proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National park. On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by woody and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnics, and game drives and also known for its millions of flamingos the park is truly a bird lover’s paradise. It’s also one of the best places to see the white rhinos and Rothschild’s giraffe. Leave Nakuru after having lunch to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.Meal Plan (B, L)
