For your peace of mind, our transportation and guide will pick you up directly at the location of your choice: Hotel, the airport, or the bus terminal in Puerto Maldonado. We will be contact you by WhatsApp, our company logo or we'll call you by your name.
Upon arrival at Puerto Maldonado, you will be picked up from the airport, bus station, or your hotel and transferred to our office. From there, we depart along the Madre de Dios River to take you to our lodge (40 minutes). Upon arrival, a welcome with a refreshing local fruit juice and accommodations in your private lodge. After settling in, we enjoy a delicious lunch before departing to visit the famous Monkey Island. Here, you will have the chance to observe and interact with local monkey families in their natural habitat. Our guide will teach you how to call the monkeys and offer safe fruits such as bananas, allowing for a truly immersive wildlife experience. Upon returning to the lodge, a night excursion to spot caimans along the river. Learn about the nocturnal wildlife of the Amazon while observing these fascinating reptiles in their natural environment. After, return to the lodge for dinner, followed by an optional night walk to experience the jungle sounds and wildlife.
The Tambopata National Reserve is the perfect destination for nature and adventure lovers. Come and experience it with our local guide, who will accompany you daily, explaining everything about the wildlife, flora, and fauna of this wonderful place.
After breakfast, embark on an exciting journey to the Tambopata National Reserve, where we will hike approximately 5 km through the dense tropical jungle to Sandoval Lake, one of the largest and most scenic lakes in the reserve. Along the way, you will experience the incredible Amazon wildlife, including a wide variety of birds, and spot two to three species of monkeys, making it a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Once on Sandoval Lake, we will observe the rich diversity of animals such as shanshos, cormorants, herons, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, black capuchins, tamarins, and sloths. With some luck, we may even see a family of giant otters, nearly two meters long, or the largest recorded alligator, measuring over four meters. In the afternoon, we return to the lodge to have a typical local lunch, and finally, we transfer back to Puerto Maldonado, dropping you off at your hotel, airport, or bus station.
