Starting at 7:30 AM from Aguas Calientes town, we will be led by an expert local tour guide. This journey blends exploring a hidden butterfly sanctuary, home to dozens of native butterflies, and a birdwatching adventure with calls of birds and more, awaits you on this magical nature escape.
We begin our walk, eagerly searching for the birds along 3 km of flat trails in the Machu Picchu forest. Your expert tour guide will point out the best spots, including riverbanks and smaller trails, perfect for capturing stunning photos of the local birds such as toucans, parrots, the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, and many other incredible birds from the remote cloud forests. Finally, we will return to the square in Aguas Calientes.
