    The purpose of the Swedish Holocaust museum is to preserve and pass on the memory of the Holocaust. The establishment of the museum is an acknowledgement, not perpetrated on Swedish soil, the Holocaust is very much part of Swedish history and cultural heritage.

    The Great Synagogue of Stockholm is an official national historical building built in 1870 in Moorish architectural style and seats 900 people. The order of services is fairly traditional, the majority of prayers are in Hebrew. Both men and women are counted in the minyan and sit together.

    The Vasa is a maritime museum, housing the world's best preserved 17th -century ship . The ship is adorned with hundreds of carved sculptures and armed with 64 guns . The war ship sunk during its maiden voyage in 1628. And after 333 years at the bottom 9f the sea ,was salvaged in 1961.

    Gamla Stan ( Old Town) is the historical quarter of Stockholm dating back to the 13th century ( 1252). It was made up of cobbled streets, North-Germanic architecture and picturesque plazas ( square) ,Stortorget is the most famous. The square was surrounded by merchants ' housing .Later it became the site of Stockholm Bloodbath in 1520 ordered by Danish king Christian || .
