On the trail of the wonderful Princess Sissi and the history of the Hofburg. On this tour we learn more about Sissi's personality, her work and her influence on history. But not only...
The Hofburg in Vienna was the political center of the Habsburg monarchy for centuries and served as the imperial residence. It reflects the power and splendor of the Habsburg Empire. The Imperial Apartments, part of the Hofburg, offer an insight into the private and public life of the imperial family. Richly furnished with furniture, works of art and personal objects, they convey the splendor and lifestyle of the Habsburgs during their reign.
A peculiarity of the time, for example, was the Sissi gym. We also see the rooms where the emperor held his audiences.

Our first stop will be the Church of St. Augustine, the place where the fate of Princess Elisabeth of Bavaria changed forever. Did you know that the wedding between Sissi and Emperor Franz Joseph I was celebrated here in 1854?
We will then head towards the Hofburg Palace, the largest in the Austrian capital as well as the former official residence of the Habsburgs. Here, proceed in the direction of the Cortile degli Svizzeri, antechamber of the Schatzkammer, and we will access the Sissi Museum, a complete collection of personal objects that will provide us with an insight into the private life of the empress.
Located inside the imperial apartments, the museum boasts clothing, jewels and portraits that belonged to the princess. Think about it: you will even see the bed on which he rested! After two hours of experience, we will conclude the tour.
