It is not a tour of the castle inside.
Look for the red umbrella with "Vienna Must See" written in yellow next to the large lattice gate at the Castle Square entrance.
We meet at the main entrance, at the large iron gate in the forecourt of Schönbrunn Palace. Here we have a wonderful view on the street side of the castle. The castle was shown to its people from this side, the other side of the castle was originally hidden from the people.
We are now on the originally hidden side of the castle. We can also see the beautiful Orangerie from here.
Now we go from the back of the castle to the Roman ruins. You wouldn't expect this in such a park and you'll find out what it's all about. - 10 minutes Then our path takes us to the fountain of Neptune and the great parterre - 10 minutes We also follow in the footsteps of the Habsburgs to the palm house. An Art Nouveau conservatory. We have now reached the other side of the garden - 10 minutes Our next stop is at the statue of Francisco Esteban de Lorena - 10 minutes We will walk approximately 20 minutes between our stops.
Then we go to the West Wing of Schönbrunn Palace, also called Princess Sissi Wing and return to our meeting point: 10 minutes.
