What to expect

During this hands-on Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Making Experience, travelers will learn how real chocolate is made from start to finish using authentic Colombian cacao.

You’ll begin by discovering where cacao comes from, how it’s harvested, fermented, and dried at the farm, and why each step influences flavor. Then, guided by an expert chocolate maker, you will turn raw cacao beans into your very own chocolate bars.

You’ll roast, crack, and winnow the cacao beans, grind them into cacao paste, refine the mixture, and learn the art of tempering to achieve the perfect shine and snap. After that, you'll pour the chocolate into molds and decorate your bars with different toppings.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll also enjoy a guided tasting of single-origin Colombian chocolates with different cacao percentages, as well as a wine pairing session featuring both red and white wines to highlight flavor notes.

At the end of the experience, you’ll leave with your handcrafted chocolate bars—made entirely by you from bean to bar.
