You will be enraptured by its aqua-green waters, rugged shoreline, natural pools at the edge of the ocean, and eco-adventures. The ultimate adventure of this escape is hopping the border to Panama on a day hike and enjoying a local beach! You will learn about Afro-Colombian culture, and organizations that support migrants and preserving natural habits and turtles.

Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH) Regional Airport. Flights from Medellin EOH to Capurgana CPB typically depart at 9:00 a.m. local time. Please plan to arrive at EOH by 7:00 a.m. We will contact you to confirm and coordinate meeting times and EOH airport meeting point prior to the tour start date.

After a 45 minute - 1 hour flight from Olaya Herrera Airport to Capurganá Airport (CPB), our local host will meet us at the airport to assist with our transfer and luggage. Before we start our first adventure, we will enjoy lunch at the cabaña hotel.

We will walk the rugged shore line to seek out relaxation in 2-3 natural pools and spectacular views.

After breakfast, we will set out on a hiking excursion through a nature reserve of fascination with flora, fauna and vistas to a local fishing village in Sapzurro with a tranquil, tropical bay of white sand beaches. If conditions do not permit hiking, we will embark by boat to Sapzurro. Trek: Moderate

After recharging in Sapzurro with a local, fresh lunch, and relaxation at the beach, we will continue our hike to La Miel, Panama. The ascent to the border of Panama is a moderate uphill climb of stairs with spectacular views. We will walk through a Panamanian village and spend time at the beach before heading back to Capurgana by boat.

We will take an excursion by boat to Soledad Beach and Aguacate Bay known for their stunning white sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise and green water, coral reefs, colorful fish, green turtles, if we are lucky, and snorkeling.

Due to transfers, airplane size/space, ground transport size/space, and the terrain, it is not recommended to bring more or larger sized luggage. If you bring or accumulate more luggage or larger luggage, you may be required to book private transfers to accommodate your luggage at your own expense or pay luggage storage fees (if available).

- Rustic Experience: Capurganá is a remote, jungle village. Therefore, this is a very natural, rustic and local experience. The town does have security, electrical power, solar power, running water, and Wi-Fi, but energy and water resources must be conserved. The 3-star cabaña hotel may or may not have air conditioning, but at a minimum a fan will be provided in each room.
