What to expect

Departure from Nairobi begins at 6:00 AM, allowing for a smooth 90-minute transit through the scenic Kikuyu highlands to reach Mount Longonot National Park by 7:30 AM. The morning is dedicated to the ascent, a steady 3.1 km trek to the crater rim that rewards hikers with spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley and the lush forest within the caldera.

After conquering the rim and descending back to the base, the journey concludes with a relaxing lunch at the Kifaru Gift Shop, where you can refuel with local flavors and browse authentic Kenyan crafts before the return drive to the city.
