    Cairo Citadel

    You will move to the Citadel of Salah Al-Din is a medieval Islamic-era fortification in Cairo. It was the seat of government in Egypt and the residence of its rulers for nearly 700 years from the 13th to the 19th centuries. Its location on a promontory of the Mokattam hills near the center of Cairo, and you will visit Mohammed Ail mousque or the Alabaster mosque it was built between 1830 and 1848.

    Then you will going to Coptic Cairo also called old Cairo where you will see the remains of the Roman fortress of Babylon (2nd century A.D), and visit the hanging church of Virgin Mary built over the fortress tower, the church of Abu Serga (St. Sergio) with Holy Crypt where the Holy Family stayed for three months and the Synagogue of Ben Ezra, believed to be the place where Baby Moses was found by the Pharaoh’s wife.

    We will end our tour by visiting the Modern Alexandria library; the Old library was very famous all over the world for its huge books capacity of different sciences and literature. It was damaged several times during the Greco Roman period. The special shape of the modern library of Alexandria is considered a special architectural germ. New Library was inaugurated in 2002 and it is a must see in Alexandria that you will visit and a have a guided tour inside it.
