We recommend waiting for your guide in the lobby or at the entrance of your hotel or apartment at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Please note that in some places vehicular access is limited or restricted; in those cases, the guide will contact you to coordinate a meeting point near your place of accommodation.
During the visit, we will enter the fortress of Terezín, used during the Nazi occupation as a Gestapo prison and later as a concentration camp. Inside you can take photographs and hear detailed explanations about the lives of prisoners, the harsh conditions of confinement, interrogations, deportations to Auschwitz and other concentration camps, as well as the testimonies of those who survived. This tour will allow you to understand the profound historical and human impact of one of the most stunning places of World War II.
During the visit to Magdeburg Barracks, we will enter the building, where you can admire the exact reconstruction of a ghetto room during World War II, with original objects that transport us to the daily life of that period. In addition, you will be able to contemplate thousands of works of art created by the inmates, including drawings, prints and sculptures, reflecting their emotions, hopes and fears. These pieces allow us to understand more deeply the harsh reality of the ghetto, as well as the cultural and spiritual resistance of those who lived there under extreme conditions.
During your visit to the Ghetto, you will explore some buildings while taking pictures and receiving explanations about their role in World War II. You will learn about the history of the prisoners, the harsh living conditions, the organization of the barracks and the Nazi propaganda that portrayed Terezín as an “ideal” place for Jews. We will also address the deportation of Jews, local resistance and how the inhabitants preserved their culture despite adversity. A deep and respectful experience of the Holocaust.
During the visit to the crematorium and morgue, we will access the interior of the building, where you can capture photographs and receive detailed explanations about its operation and the history of the place.
