Get ready for the most colorful visit of your trip! A day to delight your eyes with the vibrant colors of Guatapé and a rewarding climb up the Piedra del Peñol.

Let’s start by leaving aside the vacation mentality behind and get some exersice. In the morning, we’ll arrive at the Piedra del Peñol, a huge rock with 705 steps that we’ll climb for the best panoramic view of Guatapé and its dam.

After our climb, we’ll visit the magnificent and colorful town of Guatapé, where we’ll stroll through its lively streets and admire the beautiful zócalo decorations on the picturesque houses. Take a moment to snap some gorgeous photos in the famous Umbrella Street, and perhaps enjoy a coffee or dessert offered by the friendly locals.

Of course, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in Guatapé before taking a relaxing boat ride on the water, where our guide will share interesting facts about the reservoir, the dam, and even point out the homes of some of some Colombia’s most famous personalities.

    In Guatapé, enjoy a colorful journey through the stunning little streets. Take in the beauty of one of the most vibrant and picturesque towns in all of Colombia, where you’ll have the chance to admire the famous "zócalo" reliefs, stroll down the iconic Umbrella Street, see the charming tuk-tuks, and browse various local shops for handmade souvenirs. We’ll also have an excellent restaurant option ready for you in Guatapé, where you can savor Colombian dishes like Bandeja Paisa, Sancocho, trout prepared in a variety of ways, and other delicious options.     Now, we arrive at the moment of our scenic boat ride! Here, we’ll relax on the peaceful waters of the Guatapé Reservoir, enjoying a serene journey surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. As we sail, our guide will share fascinating insights about the reservoir’s history, interesting facts about the area, and stories behind some of the grand homes that line the water’s edge, many owned by well-known Colombian figures.
