  Belvedere Museum

  The baroque palace built by Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt for Prince Eugene is an architectural jewel. The Upper and Lower Belvedere and the connecting gardens form a unique ensemble. The two palace buildings house art collections and provide space for temporary exhibitions. The heart of the “Art around 1900” collection presented in the Upper Belvedere is the world’s largest Gustav Klimt collection. The highlight is his famous painting “The Kiss.” In addition, masterpieces by Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka can be found here as well.
