Explore Vatnajökull’s glacier world from both the air and the ground on this scenic helicopter experience from Skaftafell.
Fly above dramatic outlet glaciers, cascading icefalls and rugged mountain ridges as your pilot highlights the scale and character of Europe’s largest ice cap. From the air, crevasse fields, glacier tongues and sweeping valleys reveal patterns and textures that shift with the light and seasons. A glacier-area landing offers a quiet moment on the ground, giving you time to take in the stillness, capture photos and appreciate the surrounding landscape before continuing your flight over ridgelines, peaks and black-sand plains.
This experience is weather dependent, and landing locations may vary. Travelers over 120 kg may be asked to purchase an additional 50% seat for weight balance. Infants are not recommended on shared flights; please contact us for private options.
