This experience connects three different venues, each representing a distinct side of Athenian local life—from one of the city’s oldest wine bars, to a traditional arcade, to a modern wine bar.
At every stop, tastings are guided by knowledgeable locals who explain the stories and regional character behind what you’re tasting. Guests learn what makes them unique, and how they reflect Greece’s diverse terroir and culinary heritage.

Meeting and pickup
Participants will meet the tour leader at Tziraion 12, at the Active Athens Holidays office. The tour leader will be waiting outside the office at the scheduled start time to welcome guests and begin the experience.

Visit the oldest distillery in Athens and enjoy a guided olive oil tasting of premium local varieties, learning how to recognize aromas, flavors, and quality characteristics, and why olive oil is central to Greek cuisine and culture. Take home a small bottle of olive oil as a souvenir of the experience.
