Prepare for a thrilling experience of one of the most genuine Swedish traditions Sauna and Ice-bathing.

Just 20 minutes outside the city of Stockholm, in the forest, is a small lake and a local hot wooden Sauna.
In the winter the lake is covered by ice and its been a long tradition to enjoy the health benefits of the contrast of the hot and cold that makes you feel alive and energized.

For those who are well familiar with ice-bathing know how this will leave you with a feeling of deep relaxation and refreshment.
And if you dare the challenge to get in the ice-cold lake that will be a high achievement with its own rewards.

Here we also have our most popular nature reserve where you will find a recreation center for outdoor activities with a history that dates back to the late 1800th century.
The local restaurant and cafe celebrates its 81st year of hosting guests by a warm fireplace and cozy atmosphere with a feel good after ski vibe.

Meeting point

We meet on the square Ryssgården outside the entrance to the subway at the subway stop Slussen. Take the red or green subway to Slussen and use the exit towards Södermalmstorg. This location is on Södermalm right across Gamla Stan. We communicate through What's App so make sure we are in contact.

What to expect

Welcome to experience the cold Swedish winter with traditional local Swedish Sauna and Ice-bathing in a forest lake.

We will meet in the city center by Slussen and together get on the local transport that will take us to our destination in about 20 minutes.

Here after a short 5 minutes walk we find our wooden Sauna and a forest lake that is usually covered with ice from November-April.

•I will explain all the details and procedures that comes with the custom of Swedish Sauna and ice-bathing

•You will receive padlocks for the lockers, there are towels for an additional cost

•The only thing you need to bring is swimwear, towels, (slippers) and a water bottle

•The Sauna is separate for women and men.
On Mondays and Wednesdays it's mixed so that women can visit the gentlemen's section .

•We will alternate the Sauna with bathing in the lake (optional but highly recommended)

After our bathing we end the experience with a good lunch in the restaurant.
