Please note: Drop off and pickup outside of central Shanghai, such as Pudong International Airport, Hongqiao International Airport, Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, Shanghai Disney Area, Qinpu District, Jiading District, Chuansha District, or Songjiang District, Fengxian District, will incur an extra USD40 for your whole group and includes both pickup and dropoff. You can pay in cash (USD or RMB) directly to your guide when meeting.

    Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Centre

    This odd little museum was started by Mr. Yang Pei Ming as a hobby in 1995. Today it exhibits posters from the Maoist period of communist China, especially from the Cultural Revolution period. The museum is located in the basement and is only two rooms,but houses a rich collection of rare posters.

    Founded by Chinese couple collectors, Mr. Liu Yiqian and his wife, Ms. Wang Wei, the Long Museum owns two huge places for exhibition and related functions: Long Museum Pudong and Long Museum West Bund. Located respectively in Pudong New Area and Binjiang, Xuhui District, they constitute a unique ecosystem of art in Shanghai: “One City, Two Museums.” As the largest private institution of collection in China, the Long Museum boasts of the richest collection nationwide.

    This unique museum features a fantastic history of animation beginning with Chinese shadow play to the Disney characters of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck in America. The hall is full of movie posters interspersed with life-size statues and film clips. The second floor is a paradise for kids as well as a commercial area. Popular cartoon dubbing can even be done here.

    This museum is in what was once the Jewish Quarter of Shanghai and includes the Ohel Moshe Synagogue. After the 1937 Battle of Shanghai, Japan occupied the Chinese sections of Shanghai, but this area was still under the control of the European powers and accepted 20,000 European Jews who sought refuge in Shanghai.
