Imagine a clear starry sky evening far from the city lights and you may be lucky enough to see the majestic Northern Lights in the heart of Lapland. You are travelling in a reindeer caravan as the Sámi people did for hundreds of years ago in these areas. This is a true winter adventure which will make your smile shine in the winter darkness. One hour twenty minutes after you have left the urban life behind you, you will find yourself in a completely different environment where the reindeer is in the center. You can become a reindeer herder for a evening. You get to accompany the Sámi reindeer herder during his everyday life as he feeds his reindeer herd and looks after them.
This is a region where humans are few and the animals reign.
Your stay may be memorable, restful and at the same time refreshing for body and soul. Something to take with you into the future.

Meeting and pickup
WE DO NOT PICK UP AT INDIVIDUAL HOTELS OR LOCATIONS! We ONLY pick you up from the SELECTED pick up point on your booking. Be ready for pickup at 5.20 PM in your hotel in Kiruna or in Tourist information Kiruna Swedish Lapland in the foyer or at the exit of the hotel. We pick up between 5.20-5.40 PM depending on which hotel you are at. Pick-up at the Icehotel and Camp Alta about 5.50 PM. We call if there's anything. Aurora Hunting trip with reindeer sledding! The reindeer herder picks you up, and we will leave the city life in Kiruna for one evening and travel eastward on the aurora borealis road. The road leads us further north into the wilderness and to the reindeer in the heart of northern Lapland. The reindeer sledding tour brings you to the wilderness. Your new-found friend, the sled-reindeer pulls you forward. The silence emerges and you can hear the creaking of snow under the sled and the snapping from reindeer clover in the winter evening. Imagine a clear starry sky evening far from the city lights and you may be lucky enough to see the majestic Northern Lights. You are travelling in a reindeer "rajd" as the Sámi people did for hundreds of years ago in these areas. This is a true winter adventure which will make your smile shine in the winter darkness. After the tour, we feed the reindeer herd together and gather in the lávvu around the warming fire to eat a dish made of reindeer meet.
