Embark on fully air-conditioned vehicle driven by professional driver to start the scenic drive through the picturesque lands of Ilia, before you reach Olympia. During your transportation and before arriving at the museum you will be given some information regarding Olympia’s archaeological site and the museum as well as about the area. During the ride, your escort will assist you to download the Virtual Reality application which will help you get a better knowledge of what you will be seeing. Discover the Ancient Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games and by use of technology visualize in 360 deg. and 3D, the inspiring glorious monuments that once stood there. You can enjoy a full reconstruction of buildings and statues of antiquity such as Temple of Zeus, the Stadium, The Phillipeion, The Temple of Hera etc.

During your transportation and before arriving at the museum you will be given some information regarding Olympia’s museum. You will learn about the Statue of Ermes Praxitelis holding in his arms Dionysis when he is a baby. Looking at the statue you will notice that on one side he is smiing and on the other side he is serious. Then walking you will see on the wall Hercules and his 12 Labor, and you can also see a cup which belonged to Fineas. Underneath the cup they have placed a mirror and you can see the writing which says "Fineas Cup."

Once you finish your tour of archaeological site & museum, you will be given approx. 1 hour of free time in modern town of Olympia. Even though it has a population of 11,000 people, it is a very quiet town and it is very beautiful. You can go shopping or even you can sit down and enjoy a drink.

After Olympia you will be heading to Pyrgos. There you will be doing some sightseeing of the square, the museum and the Apollon theater. Completing with the sightseeing you will be given some free time in the town to walk around doing some shopping or sitting down drinking something. After completing and the tour of Pyrgos you will be returning to Katakolon Port which you will be waiting until the time you have to board the cruise ship. Until that time you can walk around freely.
