Depart from Kampala or Entebbe and drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, enjoy a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino walking safari of up to two hours, where you will observe rhinos in their natural habitat. After the experience, stop for lunch before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening at leisure.
After an early breakfast, start the day with a morning game drive. You will have the opportunity to see a variety of classic African savannah wildlife, including giraffes, antelopes, lions, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes, the Uganda kob, and many more. After lunch, enjoy a two-hour launch cruise on the Nile River, taking you to the base of the powerful Murchison Falls. Along the way, you may spot large crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants, and a wide range of water birds such as herons, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, kingfishers, skimmers, African fish eagles, and occasionally the rare shoebill.
Depart Murchison Falls National Park and drive to Kibale National Park, a journey of approximately 4-6 hours through Uganda’s local villages and scenic countryside. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and relax as you prepare for the following day’s activities.
After breakfast, you will head to the briefing center for an orientation on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will then enter the forest to search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Once located, you will spend one magical hour observing their behavior, social interactions, and daily routines. After the tracking experience, return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax. In the late afternoon, enjoy an evening walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This guided community walk offers excellent birdwatching opportunities and a chance to see monkeys, butterflies, and other small wildlife, while also learning about local culture and conservation efforts. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart Kibale and enjoy a scenic 6–7 hour drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your trip.
