Amboseli National Park is an international biosphere reserve with a huge ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya border. The park has an endless supply of water filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Amboseli, in Maasai, means "Place of Water". Herds of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, leopard, and elephant will make your imagination of African animals come to life. Mt. Kilimanjaro forms the backdrop of this game sanctuary. Amboseli National Park

At 7:00 am, we will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or residence. We will then depart for the Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi–Mombasa road. The morning drive is through typical African savanna country, dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle. Arrive at the Amboseli National Park in time for lunch. Take a midday rest and later venture into the park for the scheduled afternoon game viewing drive. We shall be in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, ostriches, and many others. The mountain dominates the skyline and surrounding countryside. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. Mount Kilimanjaro with its snow-capped peak shall dominate the background while we marvel at the wildlife and scenery—weather permitting.
