Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met by our representative who will assist you with all formalities and transfer you to your hotel for the night in Cairo.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet our English-speaking Egyptologist tour guide to begin your first day of sightseeing. You will visit the Pyramids of Giza (Khufu, Khafre & Menkaure), where the grandeur of three pyramids is complemented by the limestone Sphinx guarding the area. Following this, you will have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will proceed to Sakkara to explore the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. This pyramid has an interesting history, as King Djoser commissioned his chief architect Imhotep to create a unique burial structure. The resulting Step Pyramid was a groundbreaking achievement for its time. Finally, you will drive to Memphis to visit the Open Air Museum, which features impressive monuments of King Ramses II. After your day tour, you will return to your hotel in Cairo for the night.
Following breakfast at the hotel, our English-speaking guide will meet you to start your second day of touring in Cairo. Your itinerary today includes some of Egypt's most significant monuments. Your tour begins with the Egyptian Museum, a major museum in Egypt that houses Pharaonic artifacts, including those of the renowned King Tutankhamen. You will then have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will be transferred to the Old Cairo area to visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din. This citadel played a crucial role in Egypt's defense and served as the seat of power for over 700 years.
Next, you will explore Khan El-Khalili, one of the most fascinating and ancient markets in Egypt and a notable bazaar in the Middle East. After your day tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo for the night.
After breakfast and hotel check-out, our representative will meet you to transfer you to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival at Luxor airport, you will be transferred to visit the West Bank of Luxor. Your tour of ancient Thebes begins with the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground for Theban kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, where pharaohs were entombed. You will enter the tomb of King Tut Ankh Amun.
Then, you will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, an impressive example of ancient Egyptian architecture carved directly into the mountainside.
At the end of the West Bank tour, you will see the Colossi of Memnon, statues belonging to King Amenhotep III. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will discover the East Bank of Luxor, including the Karnak Temples Complex, the largest religious structure ever built. The main temple is dedicated to the god Amun Ra and dates back to the Middle Kingdom, with evidence of even earlier structures.
Later, you will visit the Temple of Luxor, built by a king of the 12th dynasty and completed by King Ramses II. This temple was located in the heart of ancient Thebes and, like Karnak, was dedicated to the chief god Amun Re. After your day tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Luxor for check-in and overnight stay.
After breakfast at your hotel, your expert tour guide will pick you up to visit the memorial temple of King Seti I at Abydos. Built by Seti I and his son Ramses II for the god Osiris, the temple is renowned for its detailed art reliefs, including the Abydos Kings List. The temple features seven chapels dedicated to various deities. At the rear of the temple, you can see the Osireion, believed to be Osiris' tomb. You will have free time to explore the temple.
Next, you will visit the Dendera Temple, located south of Abydos. This well-preserved temple complex was founded by Pharaoh Pepi I and expanded during the New Kingdom, with the remaining structures dating to the Greco-Roman period. The recently cleaned ceiling of the Hathor temple reveals vibrant ancient paintings. You will see the Dendera zodiac relief, the crypts, the Isis Birth House (Mammisi), the sacred lake, and the depiction of Cleopatra VII and her son Caesarion on the temple's outer wall. You will have free time to explore the temple. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor for the night.
After breakfast and hotel check-out, your tour guide will pick you up for a day trip to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus and considered one of the best-preserved cult temples in Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, this was the site where Horus avenged his father Osiris' murder by defeating Seth.
You will then drive to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely designed with a double entrance, each dedicated to a different deity: Haroeris (falcon-headed) and Sobek (crocodile-headed). The temple honors Sobek, the god of fertility and creation, and Haroeris, an aspect of Horus. Kom Ombo was also significant for its sugarcane production. You will arrive in Aswan, have lunch at a local restaurant, and check in to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will pick you up to begin your tour of the High Dam of Aswan, an impressive engineering project from the 1960s. The dam provides irrigation and electricity for Egypt.
You will then proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries, where granite for many ancient structures was sourced. The unfinished obelisk remains where it was being carved when a crack was discovered.
Your trip continues to the majestic Philae Temple, which was relocated to its current site due to the construction of the High Dam. Philae Temple was built in honor of the goddess Isis. At the end of your tour, you will be escorted back to your hotel.
You will receive a breakfast box from your hotel and check out. You will then be transferred by private air-conditioned van to Abu Simbel. The original site, contains rock-cut chapels dating back to the 18th Dynasty. Upon arrival, you will visit the Abu Simbel Temples, built by King Ramses II. The larger temple is dedicated to the god Rahorakhty, while the smaller temple is dedicated to the king and his wife Queen Nefertari. After your tour, you will drive to Aswan airport.
After your tour, you will drive to Aswan airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for the night in Cairo.
After breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, you will meet our Egyptologist tour guide for a day trip to Alexandria. Your Alexandria city tour will begin with a visit to the site of the ancient Alexandria Library, a major center of knowledge in the ancient world. Later, you will have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will visit the Roman Amphitheatre, a significant monument from the Greco-Roman period.
Your Alexandria city tour continues with a visit to Pompey’s Pillar, erected in 292 AD. Finally, you will see the Citadel of Sultan Qaitbay (from the outside), a well-known landmark in Alexandria.
After breakfast and check-out, our representative will pick you up and transfer you to Cairo international airport for your final departure.
