What to expect

Starting at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and begin beneath the great blue octagonal roof. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.

The Memorial Hall commands the opening — 89 steps for 89 years, white marble and an hourly changing of the guard. Riddles count along.

The Presidential Office plaza follows, where the red-brick tower has watched a century of Taiwanese history parade past. Trivia reviews the troops.

Then The Red House closes the route in Ximending — the 1908 octagonal market-turned-theatre, anchor of Taipei's liveliest quarter.

Around two hours between solemn and neon. The leaderboard posts results — bubble tea toast to the champions.
