Embark on an unforgettable 2-day adventure to Uganda’s largest, oldest, & most visited national park.
Renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife, the Murchison Falls park is named after its star attraction: the powerful Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River is forced through a narrow gorge and plunges 45 meters in a dramatic display of nature’s raw power.
Home to over 76 species of mammals, the park boasts sightings of elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, hyenas, and various antelope species such as Uganda kob, waterbuck, & hartebeest. Reptiles like the Nile crocodile thrive here, and bird lovers can spot over 450 species — including the iconic shoebill stork, Goliath heron, African fish eagle, Abyssinian ground hornbill, & many colourful kingfishers, bee-eaters, & weavers.
The safari includes Rhino Trekking at the Zziwa Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. It’s home to 22 southern white rhinos.
Your guide will arrive at the hotel reception approximately 15 minutes before the agreed-upon departure time. They will be wearing clothing with the company logo for easy identification and will notify you immediately upon arrival.
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. It’s home to 22 southern white rhinos, reintroduced after extinction in the 1980s. Visitors can track rhinos on foot for a rare, up-close encounter, making it a unique conservation success story and wildlife experience.
Wake up early for a morning game drive starting around 6:00 AM or earlier. This is the best time to catch wildlife at its most active, especially the big cats such as lions and leopards, before they retreat from the morning sun. During the drive, you'll also have the opportunity to spot a variety of animals, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly hyenas, among many others. The game drive will take you through several circuits, including the Delta Point, where the Nile flows into Lake Albert—another hotspot for birdwatching and wildlife sightings. Afterward, you’ll drive to the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile is forced through a narrow 7-meter gorge and plunges 45 meters down with thunderous power. This is a photographer’s paradise and a breathtaking conclusion to your safari. Later in the afternoon, you will begin your return journey to Kampala, arriving in the evening.
