Pickup and Wadi Hitan (Valley of the Whales) Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo for a full-day adventure exploring Fayoum’s famous sites. The journey from Cairo to Fayoum is approximately 95 km. Today’s tour focuses on the Wadi El-Rayan Protected Area, designated in 1989. Begin with a visit to Wadi Hitan (Valley of the Whales), located about 90 km from Fayoum. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its 40-million-year-old whale skeletons, offering incredible insights into one of the greatest evolutionary mysteries: how whales evolved from land-dwelling mammals into ocean-going creatures.

2Wadi El-Rayan
Wadi El-Rayan and Mudawara Mountain On the way to the Wadi El-Rayan Waterfalls, stop at Mudawara Mountain to enjoy panoramic views of the Fayoum oasis. Then continue to Wadi El-Rayan Waterfalls, a natural desert depression featuring two connected lakes and Egypt’s only waterfalls, formed in 1970 by the overflow of farmland drainage waters. 3Qasr Qarun and Medinet Quta
Medinet Madi and Return to Cairo After exploring the waterfalls, visit Medinet Madi, an ancient city dating back to the Third Pharaohic Dynasty, originally built by Amenemhet III and completed by Amenemhet IV.
