Upon arrival in Aswan, whether by train, flight, or hotel transfer, you will be warmly greeted by your English-speaking guide. You will then be transferred in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to board your luxurious 5-star Nile cruise. After check-in, enjoy a delicious lunch served on board.
Your first sightseeing experience begins in the afternoon with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering marvel completed in the 1960s to regulate the Nile’s water levels and provide hydroelectric power for Egypt. Your guide will explain its historical and strategic importance.
Next, you’ll head to the banks of the Nile and board a small motorboat to reach Philae Temple, an exquisite island sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple, known for its romantic setting and elegant pylons, was relocated to Agilkia Island after the building of the dam. Departing around 4:30 AM by air-conditioned minibus, enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive through the Nubian Desert. Return to the cruise and begin your leisurely sail to Luxor. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Esna Lock, a fascinating navigation experience. Enjoy lunch on board followed by afternoon tea on the sundeck, with views of life along the riverbanks.
In the late afternoon, arrive in Luxor and disembark for a visit to the majestic Luxor Temple, located in the heart of the modern city. Built primarily by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II, the temple boasts grand colonnades, statues, and chapels that reflect both ancient Egyptian religion and later Roman influences. If time permits, your guide may also include a short visit to Karnak Temple, depending on docking time.

Begin your final day with an unforgettable Hot Air Balloon Ride over Luxor. You’ll be picked up before dawn and taken to the launch site on the West Bank. As the sun rises, ascend into the sky and float peacefully above the open-air museum of Luxor. Take in breathtaking aerial views of ancient temples, green farmlands, and the Nile River. After landing, return to the cruise for breakfast and check out. Begin your land-based tour of Luxor’s West Bank, home to some of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable monuments.
Start with the Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of pharaohs from the New Kingdom. Descend into the elaborately decorated tombs carved deep into the mountainside, including those of legendary rulers such as Ramses and possibly Tutankhamun (ticket not included). Your guide will explain the religious significance, mummification practices, and tomb art.
Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, an architectural masterpiece built into the cliffs in honor of Egypt’s most successful female pharaoh. Admire its terraces, statues, and reliefs that depict her divine birth and expedition to Punt.
Stop for photos at the iconic Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues that once guarded the entrance to Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple. Their sheer size and enduring presence are impressive reminders of Egypt’s grandeur.
