Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty sited at the banks of Mara river. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.
Early morning breakfast, with optional Masai village visit. Then depart to Lake Nakuru National Park, with picnic lunch on the way. Arriving in the evening. Lake Nakuru is home to large numbers of the Greater and Lesser Flamingoes, white and black rhino, buffalos, lion, zebra, gazelle, the rare long-eared leaf-nosed bat, colobus monkey, rock hyrax, hippo, leopard, waterbuck, impala, gazelle, striped hyena, bat-eared fox, wild cat, reedbuck , golden cat, warthog, baboons and over 450 species of terrestrial and water birds
After an early breakfast, you will spend the morning in Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will have the chance to see some of the 350 bird species that have been recorded here. This is also home to the black and white rhinoceros. Indeed, this park was established for the protection of species such as the rhino, Columbus monkeys, leopards, giraffes and a variety of plain antelope.
Depart to the nearby Lake Naivasha, eating a picnic lunch along the way. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Dove Nest Lodge
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park, where you will have a chance to visit the geothermal power plant in Ol Karia and the hot springs. This is the only park that allows you to get around both on foot or by bike. You may go for an optional tour to Crescent Island, where you can watch hippos and other wild animals.
After lunch, you will make your way to Nairobi, arriving in time for a 5:00 pm drop-off at your hotel.
