Your journey begins with a pickup from your Aswan hotel by your expert Egyptologist guide. You’ll head to the enchanting Philae Temple, beautifully dedicated to the goddess Isis. After exploring this island sanctuary, you'll board your elegant Dahabiya sailing boat and settle in.
As you begin your cruise, the Dahabiya sails gently to a peaceful Nile island where you can stroll through the lush countryside. After a delicious lunch onboard, the journey continues toward Kom Ombo.
Later, visit the striking Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely devoted to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). The temple sits dramatically on a bend of the Nile, once home to sacred crocodiles basking in the sun. After your visit, return to your Dahabiya to continue sailing towards Gebel el-Silsila.
Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise on the sundeck as you enjoy breakfast with views of the Nile. Your first stop is Gebel el-Silsila, where you can admire ancient rock-cut chapels and quarries once used by the pharaohs. Watch from the boat as the legacy of Horemheb, Seti I, Ramses II, and Merenptah comes to life along the cliffs.
Continue sailing to Edfu
Your guide will lead you to the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. According to ancient legend, this is where Horus avenged the death of his father, Osiris, by defeating Seth.
Later, the Dahabiya anchors at Besaw Island, where you’ll spend a peaceful night moored under the stars.
After breakfast, your Dahabiya sets sail for El-Kab Island. Upon arrival, meet your guide and visit the ancient city of Nekheb, one of the oldest archaeological sites on the Nile. Explore its fascinating ruins, including crumbling temples and tombs carved into the cliffs.
Following your visit, return to the Dahabiya and enjoy a relaxing sail to Esna, soaking in the tranquil scenery along the way.
