Bwindi will give travelers (s) an exceptional and unique experience of the mountain gorillas since the park has 35 known Gorilla groups although only 17 groups have been habituated for research and open tourism.
Due to its great forest age of over 25,000 years, species diversity is a feature of the park. It provides habitat to over 120 species of mammals like chimpanzees, blue monkey, L’Hoest’s monkey, and the mountain gorilla, 357 species of birds including 23 Albertine Rift Valley endemics such as the short-tailed warbler, African green broadbill, blue-headed sunbird to mention but a few, 220 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos, and many other endangered species. Floristically, the park is among the most diverse forests in Eastern Africa, with more than 1,000 flowering plants, including 163 tree species and 104 species of ferns. Traveler(s) will also get a chance to meet the shortest Pygmies in the world and their traditional life is amazing that they can’t choose to miss it.

    Day 1

    Morning transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    At 06:30 am after your breakfast you be ready to a transfer to Bwind. Here you will follow Kampala-Kabale Highway and this will take you roughly 9 hours to cover over 512 km. Have lunch en-route at Ntungamo and then proceed to the Park. Check in your lodge, relax, dine and have an overnight stay.

    Morning Gorilla trekking

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    At 06:30 am after your breakfast, you will pack your lunch and head to the information center for a 07:00 am briefing. You will be told the dos and don’ts, divided in groups of eight and then assigned to different gorilla families. Once it’s done, you will begin your trek through creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Giant Mountain Gorillas. The trek can last between 2 hours and a whole day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animals giving access to trekkers, you will also stand chances to spot out different other primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkey, De Brazza monkey, pottos, Demidoff’s Galago, spectacled Galago, Baboons, Chimpanzee among others, birds species such as chapins fly catchers, montane oriole, Rwenzori bats, strange weaver birds, etc. The rare tree species that will not miss your sight of a true African Jungle. You will be allowed to spend one hour with them before trekking back.

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    After your early breakfast at 06:30 am, you will head to the information center where you trail will begin from. This Kashasaha forest trail will give a chance to explore one of the Uganda's loveliest tropical rainforest. Bwindi forest has got a lot to offer more than Gorilla trekking, Primate, and bird sighting. You will enjoy this fascinating 13km trail starting from the park offices and proceeds down a steep slope through villages up to park buffer zone. The route passes the junction of two rivers within the forest where after a further 25-30 minutes ascent you will meet ivy trail. This trail takes approximately 5 hours to from Nkuringo to Buhoma and 6 hours from Buhoma to Nkuringo. You will have a close up experience nature wonders within the tropical rainforest, including monkey species, birds, flowers, rivers, butterflies etc. Retreat, relax, dine and have an overnight stay.

    Morning transfer to Kampala- Equator Experience at Kayabwe

    Green Equator Masaka Rd

    At 06:30 am after breakfast, you will be transferred back to Entebbe to catch up with your departure flight. Have a stopover at Kayabwe for Lunch and Equator experience. This is the widely known landmark and the go-to for all looking to witness the Equator experiment, take photos and also visit the local craft shops for souvenir shopping. These experiment here are conducted to prove the difference between the two spheres using water and a funnel. The water drains from the funnel in a clockwise motion in the northern hemisphere and anti-clock wise in the southern hemisphere and the temperature in this place is largely constant throughout the year. After all is done, you will continue with your journey to Entebbe international Airport.
