Discover Kefalonia's most iconic highlights in one unforgettable day.

Begin with a visit to St George's Castle, the island's medieval hilltop capital, offering panoramic views over the Livatho valley. From there, continue to the Monastery of Agios Gerasimos, dedicated to Kefalonia's patron saint, followed by a Robola wine tasting at Orealios Gaea Winery in the Omala Valley.

Descend into Drogarati Cave, a geological wonder over 150 million years old, before heading to the charming port village of Sami for free time and lunch on the waterfront. Then step into myth at Melissani Lake, where sunlight pours through a collapsed roof to illuminate an underground lake of extraordinary turquoise blue.

The day closes at the Myrtos viewpoint — one of Greece's most photographed landscapes, with its sheer white cliffs and impossibly blue waters.

Your guide brings the stories. The island does the rest.

    St George's Castle

Our first stop is St George's Castle, the medieval hilltop fortress that served as Kefalonia's capital for centuries. Perched 320 metres above the fertile Livatho valley near the village of Peratata, the castle offers one of the island's most sweeping panoramic views, stretching from Argostoli to the coastline below. First fortified in Byzantine times and later rebuilt on a grand scale by the Venetians, its imposing walls and bastions still stand largely intact today.
