Pickup from your hotel lobby in Puno or Juliaca Airport (JUL) - Puno
Upon arrival at Juliaca airport, you will meet our private guide who will give you an overview of what to expect over the next 6 days as he takes you by private car to your hotel in Puno. After check - in, take the afternoon free to rest, acclimatize or visit the city.
After breakfast, we pick you up before 7:30 am at your hotel and transfer you to the port of Puno, where you will board a motor boat and depart to explore Lake Titicaca. Sail for 30 minutes to reach Uros, a floating island made entirely of reeds and reeds. After exploring and visiting this Uros Island continue to Taquile Island to visit the famous weavers and enjoy a traditional lunch. Finish around 4:30 p.m. when you are transferred back to your hotel.
After breakfast, we will take you to the private bus station to take the guided bus tour on the way to Cuzco from Puno, with drinks included on board and a guide who speaks English and Spanish.
Pucará characterized by having two types of architectural manifestations; one of monumental characteristics of probable ceremonial function and another rustic possibly of houses; the best known being the ceremonial sector made up of artificial truncated pyramids in the form of terraces, predominating the main KALASAYA pyramid. It excelled in hydraulic and architectural engineering, through its monoliths, houses, underground constructions and ceremonial centers.
The line is the border between the regions of Cusco and Puno, it is a typical natural space of the Puna zone, the surrounding flora is made up of Ichu and its fauna made up of Alpacas, llamas and Vicuñas. La Raya is the highest point on the Puno to Cusco route, which is at 4338 meters above sea level, a cold and remote place. It is from this place that we will observe the snow-capped mountains of the Andes, here the rivers that go to Cusco are born, giving rise to the Amazon River.
Feel the Inca spirit of Raqchi, an ancient community that keeps its cultural traditions intact, be part of its history by learning its Andean worldview and its artisanal and agricultural knowledge, next to the imposing Temple of Wiracocha. Then you will have lunch included and then we will go to Puno.
In Cuzco you will arrive at the private bus station, our transport will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel (estimated time of arrival in Cuzco 17:30). After check-in, have the afternoon free to explore Cuzco at night.
7:45 am: After breakfast at your hotel in Cusco, we will pick you up to visit part of the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas, its beautiful views, its people, the artisan markets and the incredible archaeological centers. that make this tour an unforgettable place.
8:30 am: After driving 1 hour from Cusco we find the traditional town of Chinchero, we will visit a local family, here they keep the weaving traditions alive. Their alpacas and llamas will welcome you and you can take a photo with them and you can even give them breakfast. In addition, you will learn about their fascinating weaving techniques using natural ingredients to create stunning fabrics by hand.
9:30 a.m.: Imagine the impressive Inca terraces and the beautiful Andes in the background. This view is simply impressive, the history behind it even more so. Your guide will show you the agricultural laboratory of the Incas and how they created different climatic zones on these terraces. We will enjoy this place for approximately 1 hour.
11:00 a.m.: Stay in front of thousands of salt ponds, still intact. Here you have the opportunity to take one of the most famous photos of the Sacred Valley. Our guide will be happy to capture this moment for you. From here we continue our tour to have a delicious lunch.
1 p.m.: Enjoy an extraordinary buffet lunch (with vegetarian options available) at one of the best restaurants in the Sacred Valley. You have the option of trying more than 50 Peruvian dishes including salads, soup, main dishes, and Peruvian desserts.
2:10 p.m.: Our last discovery of the day: The terraces and ruins of Ollantaytambo. This place was very protected, since it was the entrance to the road to Machu Picchu. Therefore, many things happened here during the Spanish invasion. We will then take you to the station to board the selected train. This 1:45 minute train ride will allow you to see incredible views of mountainous terrain before seeing Machu Picchu.
17:05 PM You will arrive in Aguas Calientes (town of Machupicchu) at the exit door of the train station we will be waiting to take you to your hotel where you will spend the night. Get settled in your hotel. After check-in, you have the afternoon free at your own expense.
After having our breakfast at the hotel we will move with our guide to the bus station. This bus will take us to the main gate of the Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu where we will begin our unforgettable experience. Our guide will share all his knowledge about the history of this incredible place, we will explore with our guide the most important places and help you get the best photos. Once the guide is over, we will have additional time to explore Machu Picchu on our own. After finishing the visit, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes where you will have time for lunch (not included) and extra time to explore Aguas Calientes. At the indicated time, we will board the train that will not take us to the Ollantaytambo train station.
After the tour of Machupicchu you will arrive at the Ollantaytambo train station at 15:55 pm where our transport will be waiting for you and will take you back to Cusco. The estimated time of arrival in Cusco is at 18:20 pm.
After breakfast, you will have 2 options for departure: Option A: Transfer from your hotel to the Cuzco airport (CUZ) so you can catch your flight back to Lima or another city in Peru. Option B: Transfer to the bus station and board the bus back to Juliaca or Puno, arriving around 3:30 p.m. * For this tour it is recommended to purchase your flight arriving in Juliaca - Puno (JUL) and departing from CUZCO airport (CUZ)
