Tour of La Candelaria We will continue our walk through the picturesque cobblestone streets of La Candelaria, surrounded by colonial houses with wooden balconies, street art and cafés that keep stories. Each corner reveals aspects of Bogotá’s cultural and literary identity.
Park of Journalists We will arrive at the Parque de los Periodistas, a meeting point of critical thinking, surrounded by historic buildings and with a privileged view towards the eastern hills. Here you will learn about the role this place has played in the intellectual and political life of the city.
Plaza Santander – Culture and Heritage Our next stop will be Plaza Santander, located in front of the Gold Museum and the Bank of the Republic. This space combines history and financial culture, and we will tell you how these institutions have influenced the economic and cultural development of the country.
Bolivar Square – The Political Heart of Colombia We arrive at the political and symbolic epicenter of Bogotá: the Plaza de Bolívar. Surrounded by the National Capitol, the Palace of Justice, the Primate Cathedral and the Liévano Palace, you will learn how this space has witnessed key moments in the country’s republican and contemporary history.
Columbus Theatre and San Carlos Palace We will continue to the majestic Teatro Colón, an architectural and cultural icon of Colombia, where the Peace Treaty was signed with FARC guerrillas, marking a before and after on the road to national reconciliation. Nearby is the Palacio de San Carlos, the country’s first presidential headquarters, whose stories reveal the evolution of executive power in Colombia.
