Prejmer Fortified Church, is one of the biggest fortified churches in Transylvania and the best preserved by its kind in Eastern Europe and also UNESCO World Heritage Site. The construction of the church was started by the Teutonic Knights in 1218.
Brasov, one of the seven fortified towns built by the Saxons in Transylvania, notable in the Middle Ages for being the regional capital of the Transylvanian Saxons of the Burzenland , is a combination between a medieval and a modern city.
