The Great Wall and the Forbidden City are two well-known historical sites in Beijing. This overnight tour will let you fly to Beijing from Guangzhou to explore these two sites with a local guide, moreover wandering around Tian'anmen Square, the old hutongs and Wangfujing Pedestrian street. Note this tour needs to be confirmed manually by the supplier because all attractions in Beijing need to book in advance with limited slots. The Forbidden City is extremely difficult to reserve, we will change it to Temple of Heaven or Lama Temple instead of if no tickets are available.

    Mutianyu Great Wall

    At 7am, our representative will pick you up from lobby of your centrally located Guangzhou hotel, then transferred to Guangzhou airport to catch 2.5-hour flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, your Beijing guide will meet you at the arrival exit with a signage writing your name. You will drive about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall, this section of the Great Wall has less travellers than other sites. It is a wonderful place to climb up the Great Wall and view the fantastic Wall travelling up and down among the mountains. Round-way cable tickets are included for the Great Wall.

    Wangfujing Street

    Afterwards you will be transferred to Beijing hotel near Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, where you can wander around in the evening. Your guide will recommend you Peking Dinner restaurants for your dinner if you wish.

    Beijing - Guangzhou by air

    Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)

    This morning you will walk on the Tian'anmen Square, the biggest city square in the world firstly.

    Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

    Then you will walk to visit the old Forbidden City that used to be the palace for emperors and royal family during Ming and Qing Dynasties from 1420-1911 AD, housing numerous relics and buildings. You guide will let you know lots of the history and stories about it.

    Hutong Tour

    Afterwards you will have wander around Hutongs, the old town of Beijing, exploring the essence of the old lifestyle in Beijing.  Later you will be transferred to Beijing airport to catch your flight back to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your Guangzhou hotel where this day trip concludes.

  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The Forbidden City is closed on Monday, and limits the daily visitors, you might have to visit Forbidden City on Day 1 and The Great Wall on Day 2 depending the ticket availability.
