1Uros Floating Islands
Approximate visit time: 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours The first stop will be in the stunning Uros Floating Islands. These islands are built by hand using layers of totora, an aquatic plant that grows in Lake Titicaca. During the visit you will learn how the islands are built and maintained, how they use the totora in their daily lives and how local families have preserved their traditions over time. With a private guide, you can ask all the questions you want and receive more personalized explanations about the history and culture of the Uros. Optionally, you can take a ride in a traditional totora boat. This service is paid directly to the local community.

2Taquile Island
Taquile Island Approximate visit time: 2 to 3 hours We will reach Taquile, one of the most beautiful and culturally representative islands of Lake Titicaca. You will walk along traditional trails while enjoying incredible panoramic views of the lake. Your private guide will explain the history of the community, its customs, social organization and its renowned textile tradition. You will also learn about the meaning of some of the traditional garments used by Taquile residents and how textiles form an important part of their cultural identity. You will have time to enjoy the scenery, take pictures and live the island with greater tranquility. During the visit you will enjoy a typical lunch in Taquile.
