Cape Vani, the abandoned manganese and iron mine.The old mine used in the 19th century is a huge and deep opening at the edge of the cape, by the sea, surrounded by rocks vertically cut, with horizontal layers in black and ruby red color. Our crew will tell you the story of this historical landmark as you take photos of this breathtaking landscape. Kalogries is an inaccessible bay on the West side of Milos with crystal-clear turquoise waters, and two small beaches on the north and east side of the bay. It is considered one of Milos finest. Our stay here will last 30-minutes enough time to dive of the boat, swim and snorkel and have some snacks and drinks.
Kleftiko is the highlight of Milos. The name actually means a place of thieves and derives from the fact that it was used for centuries by pirates as a hideout and lair. Apart from its’ pirate history, this unique combination of white and grey rocks creates one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Snorkeling here is an amazing experience complete with underwater passages, caves, and unsurpassed water clarity. You will be provided with masks, flippers, and a few tips about how to best explore this unique place. Our crew will be using our GoPro camera to take photos (some even underwater) during our stay here. This set of photos will be later sent to you by email.
Gerakas is one of the most famous beaches in Milos, accessible only by boat. This unique landscape is formed by huge perlite sand slides creating a pristine beach with amazing crystal-clear emerald waters. A must-see on the island. Here we will spend about one-and-a-half hours to swim and enjoy our lunch.
The old Sulfur Mines are located in the southeast part of Milos. These are the oldest mines in Milos, dating back to 1856, which closed down and were abandoned in 1956. This is a remote place best seen by boat.
Poliegos is the largest uninhabited island in Greece. Our main stop on this amazing island is the area of Galazia nera, or blue waters. The transparency and fluorescent color of the sea are beyond words making this one of the best beaches in the whole of Greece! Here we will stay for about 30 minutes to enjoy our swim, snorkel or try stand-up paddling and then have some snacks and drinks.
Klima was the first Capital of Milos and where the statue of Venus de Milo was discovered. While you take beautiful photos of the colorful fishing village you can also learn some historical facts about the island, as a part of our guided tour.
Literally translating to seagull islands this is a very rare geological phaenomenon encountered only in a small number of countries around the world. They were made by lava which under great formed hexagonal tubes.
