You spend some time visiting this geothermal area, which features steam vents, hot mud pools, and an incredible landscape shaped by the minerals in the ground. You see vibrant hues on steaming surfaces with the Reykjanes lighthouse in the background. This is undoubtedly a place not to miss!
Reykjanesbær peninsula´s largest lake, Kleifarvatn, is also among Iceland´s deepest lakes with almost 100 meters in depth. The water comes from the porous lava ground around it and is home to many fishes, particularly anglers! The lake reflects Iceland´s beauty in its simplicity, with lava ground covered in many places by thousand years´ old moss.
Þingvellir National Park is one of the Golden Circle sites. This is not only a geological marvel where Öxará waterfall (or Öxarárfoss) and Silfra Fissure were born out of the continental drift, splitting the earth‘s crust at various locations but it is also an important historical and political site. The site visit is free, however, you have to pay a Parking fee, which is not included in the tour´s price.
