Our tour offers an exclusive and seamless adventure to Marcahuasi in premium 4x4 vehicles, allowing you to explore remote Andean landscapes in total comfort and safety. Unlike standard tours, we avoid the crowds and long hikes by taking scenic off-road routes that few others reach. You'll experience personalized attention, a rich cultural connection with local villages, and a guided hike through the mystical Marcahuasi plateau—home to ancient ruins and surreal rock formations. Plus, we start the day with a traditional breakfast in the highlands, making this a full sensory journey from city to sky.
For small groups, pick-up is provided in our comfortable 4x4 vehicles. For larger groups, we offer exclusive mini-bus transportation to ensure extra space and comfort throughout the journey.
After pick-up, we begin our journey towards Marcahuasi, which takes approximately 3 to 4 hours as we leave metropolitan Lima behind. Along the way, you’ll witness the dramatic shift in landscapes as we ascend into the mountains and higher altitudes. That’s why we travel fully equipped and with all necessary safety measures in place—aboard our exclusive 4x4 vehicles designed for both comfort and adventure.
After about an hour on the road, we’ll pass through Chosica — a town known as “The City of the Sun” due to its mostly sunny weather. Its bright skies are a stark contrast to the fog and gray clouds that often cover Lima, especially during the winter months. For this reason, many locals consider it the perfect escape from the cold and humidity of the city.
Next, we’ll arrive at Santa Eulalia — another charming town in Lima, often considered the natural gateway to the Andes. From here, our ascent into the highlands truly begins. But first, we’ll make a short stop to enjoy a traditional local breakfast, just like a true local.
The small village of San Pedro de Casta serves as the gateway to begin our hike toward the Marcahuasi plateau. Before continuing our ascent, we’ll stop here to collect our entrance tickets and prepare for the final stretch leading to the plateau.
We’ll begin our hike across the stunning Marcahuasi plateau, where you’ll encounter impressive rock formations sculpted by wind and rain over centuries, ancient structures built by early inhabitants, and breathtaking landscapes unlike anywhere else.
